Agrimaps

Agrimapps app  is an example of promising technology developed by researchers of the Facutly of Food and Agriculture and Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the West Indies.

 Agrimapps aims to assist farmers and extension officers by providing crop selection recommendations tailored to the soil properties and climatic properties of individual sites. The app also provides other spatial information e.g. land contours, proximity to rivers etc and can be downloaded for free at the google play store. At present, it is only supported by android but other versions are in the pipeline.

T&T goes batty over first endemic mammalian species
